AKRON, OH- Ellet girls basketball star Caitlyn Holmes has made her decision on her college choice to play at the next level being ranked in the state of Ohio, cincinnati.com has her ranked as high as 13th in late November but her rank has risen since the start of season and the better portion of her offers were from a few Mid-American Conference schools and interest from Miami of Ohio as she officially committed to Div. I Kent State University breaking the news via "X".
Holmes hit Ohsfbmedia radar during the 2022-23 season as she led Ellet to an Akron City Series regular season title where she averaged in the neighborhood of 20 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assist for the season under then first year Head Coach Nick Harris who replaced Tina Wallace respectively. Kent State has acquired a high volume scoring versatile point guard with cat-like defensive awareness and ability to finish at the basket.
With it still being early in her junior season, she will have plenty of time to hone her already mature skill set and be the best version of herself upon arrival at Kent State Women's Basketball program.
