CINCINNATI, Ohio--After winning the Ohio Mr. Football award and leading his team to the state championship game, Matt Ponatoski is now faced with the decision of which college program he will join, having narrowed his options to four.

Given that he has an additional year of high school football remaining after achieving success in his junior year, one of those four programs will be fortunate to have his services.

Currently, Alabama, Oregon, Arkansas, and Kentucky are capturing his attention; however, the ultimate decision may hinge on his involvement in baseball, which is another sport he is interested in.

With offers coming in as early as this past May from Alabama and Oregon, with scheduled visits with Oregon in the latter part of June and Alabama as early as this coming weekend, according to On3.

"It's one of the best programs ever when it comes to football," said Ponatoski. "It's an offer you dream about, so it was really cool when I got the call unexpectedly!" he stated to On3 about Alabama.

Arkansas and Kentucky have been pursuing him in both sports, with baseball as his primary interest, but he is considering playing both at the next level.

While leading Moeller to a state title game in his junior year, he threw for over 4,000 yards and 56 touchdowns with 3 interceptions at 6-foot-2 and 190 pounds. This kid has a lot to offer leading into his college career.

As of press time, it was announced that he was named Gatorade Ohio Baseball High School Player of the Year.
