CINCINNATI, Ohio--The reigning Ohio Mr. Football out of Cincinnati Moeller has ultimately made his decision regarding the college he will attend as he begins his collegiate journey.
Following a remarkable season in which he passed for more than 4,000 yards, threw over 50 touchdowns, and had a .440 batting average in baseball with an impressive statistical record, he has decided to take his talents to the next level by committing to the University of Kentucky.
"First and foremost I would like to thank god for blessing me with the talent, the strength, and the opportunities that have led me to this point. Without him, none of this would be possible. Thank you to my family and coaches whose sacrifices, beliefs, and support have shaped me into the person I am today," Ponatoski said, via social media.
Ponatoski made his decision after reducing the options to four universities earlier this year: Alabama, Oregon, Arkansas, and Kentucky, according to 247Sports.
He is a standout in both football and baseball, having won the 2025 Gatorade Player of the Year award in each sport.
During his announcement, he also stated that he would be playing both football and baseball.
