STARK COUNTY, Ohio - The high school football season is back as 19 schools in the Stark County area prepare for the season. One early indication is the annual football coaches preview at St. Haralambos Church (Alex D. Krassas Center), this season set for August 6 with a 7:30 p.m. coaches panel.
Prior to the coaches' panel, a social hour will commence at 5:30 p.m., followed by a dinner buffet at 6:30 p.m.
All current head coaches in Stark County are anticipated to speak, including two newly appointed coaches. Renzy Parnell, who was hired in January and previously served as the defensive coordinator at Akron Archbishop Hoban, has succeeded Antonio Hall and is now in charge at Canton McKinley High School.
Additionally, Spencer Leno, also hired in January, will lead the Perry High School program after dedicating the majority of his coaching career to Massillon, taking over from the current head coach of the Minerva Lions, Zach Slates.
Prepaid reservations concluded on Aug 1, but have an admission cost of $20 includes dinner if there is any seating still available.
