ALLIANCE, Ohio — Marlington High School has announced that it will hire Clay Libertore as the next head girls basketball coach, pending board approval.
According to the press release, he brings nine years of experience to the new leadership role. He has also, he has been involved in the district since 2019, serving as an Interventalist Specialist for four years, then transitioning to his current role as the Career Based Intervention Coordinator.
"Coach Libertore embodies the values we look for in a leader for our student-athletes," said Athletic Director Scott Stayer.
His background includes coaching basketball, football, and track and field.
"I am honored and proud to lead the Lady Dukes program," said Libertore.
Libertore will succeed Nick Stroemple, who was hired in 2024.
