MAYFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio -- Pending a Board of Education meeting on June 15, Mick Mohner will be named the new Athletic Director of Mayfield High School, according to The News-Herald.
Mohner will replace outgoing Athletic Director Keith Leffler.
He is set to leave his alma mater, Harvey High School, where he has held the same position for nearly four years, and where he was the head football coach.
"This move is the best for me and my family," said Mohner. "There aren't many places I'd leave Harvey for, this move is nothing against Harvey, it's more about what Mayfield has to offer."
Based on earlier details, Mayfield will be joining the Suburban League after being part of the Western Reserve Conference.
He graduated from Harvey High School in 2008 and earned a Bachelor's degree in accounting along with a Master's degree in business administration from Wayne State University.
