CANTON, Ohio - A new class has been inducted into the Black College Football Hall of Fame, with the unveiling occurring in the presence of friends and family of the Inductees inside the Pro Football Hall of Fame Museum.
This year's members comprised: Henry Dyer (Grambling State University), Rashean Mathis (Bethune-Cookman University), Jacquay Nunnally (Florida A&M University), Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (Tennessee State University), Jay "Sky" Walker (Howard University), and Coach Fred "Pop" Long (Wiley College).
"Ah man, it's an honor man and a blessing to put in that much work, and people are starting to understand and shed a light on HBCU and Tennessee State alone man, so it's an honor and blessing to be up here," said Rodgers-Cromartie to Ohsfbmedia.com.
The annual induction ceremony takes place in Atlanta, Georgia, presented by the Atlanta Falcons. This year's class was inducted on June 7, and they were also recognized at the All-State HBCU Legacy Bowl on February 25, 2025.
Their permanent residence is housed at the Black College Football Hall of Fame Gallery, which is located within the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Jeff Shreve, Hall of Famer Relations and Wellness Manager, emceed the unveiling.
