Brian Wisniewski's five year tenure at Solon ends

SOLON, Ohio - The Solon football program is set to take a new direction following Brian Wisniewski's announcement to the Solon Times that he will not be returning.

According to the Chagrin Valley Times, he informed them on Oct. 30 after going 12-29 during his tenure. 

"We thank Coach Wisniewski for his dedication and contributions to our student-athletes and the program," said Solon Athletic Director Jim McQuaide. 

His best season came in his first year, when he went 5-6 and made the playoffs. Eventually, losing to Hudson in the first round. This season, he finished 3-7.

"I've got to work with and coach some amazing people, and I'm leaving with way more gratitude than negativity," Wisniewski said. "I appreciate the opportunity Erin Short and Jim McQuaide gave me here. I'll be ready for the next challenge somewhere new when the time comes.
