LEAVITTSBURG, Ohio - The LaBrae Vikings will be on the search for a new head coach as Jon Elliot has decided to step away, according to a statement to Ohsfbmedia.com.
"I just decided it was time," said Elliot. "I will continue as Athletic Director."
In four seasons, he compiled a record of 18-26, with two playoff appearances. His resignation is effective as of November 12.
His previous coaching stops included Austintown-Fitch, Warren JFK, Niles, and Warren Harding over his 40 years of coaching.
This will make three Youngstown area schools looking for a head football coach, as Niles and the newly formed Youngstown High School.
