DENVER, Colorado - Former Massillon quarterback Kyle Kempt has been hired as an offensive assistant for the Denver Broncos, according to a report from Adam Rittenberg of ESPN.

Kempt was part of the Massillon team from 2010 to 2012, playing under head coach Jason Hall. He began as a starter in his sophomore year. In 2012, he guided the Tigers to a 9-1 record in the regular season and a 2-1 finish in the playoffs, appearing in a regional final game.

He was named team captain that year and received All-Ohio 2nd Team honors during his senior year. He accumulated 2,056 yards and 32 touchdowns.

Kempt later played college football at Oregon State (2013-2014 redshirt/practice squad), Hutchinson Community College (2015), and Iowa State (quarterback, 2016-2018).

Transitioning to coaching, he started after his playing career at Iowa State. He stayed on as a graduate assistant and quality control assistant.

Most recently, he was the Offensive Coordinator for Drake University for a season before landing in the role with the Denver Broncos.
