Minicamp participants will represent the high school graduating classes of 2027, 2028, 2029, and 2030 and are selected by the USA Basketball Women's Developmental National Team Committee.
Among the 42 participants announced, five are representing Ohio: Tatiana Mason (2027), Lynhurst Brush High School, Dakhari "Strawberry" Blankumsee (2028), Cincinnati Winton Woods High School, Janiyah Hargrave (2028), Kettering Fairmont High School, Sydney Mobley (2027), Big Walnut High School, and Erin Thomas (2028), Cincinnati Princeton High School.
Sydney Mobley is the reigning Ohio Ms. Basketball. Janiyah Hargrave and Erin Thomas are just coming off the OHSAA Division I state girls basketball championship game this past season, where Hargrave and the Kettering Fairmont basketball team took home the Division I state championship trophy.
Mason is an Ohio State University commit and the daughter of former NBA player Chet Mason, who coaches the boys' team at Brush High School. Blankcumsee is one of the rising players not only out of Cincinnati but also in Ohio.
With the minicamp coinciding with the NCAA Women's Final Four, which will be played at the Mortage Matchup Center in Phoenix, Arizona, the participants will also attend educational presentations and the semifinal games on Friday night.
