CINCINNATI, Ohio - One of the young, talented freshman girls' basketball players from Cincinnati is on the move, according to her social media account.

Kev'iya "Yaya" Parrish of Cincinnati Western Hills will transfer to Cincinnati Princeton High School after she led the state in scoring at 39.0 points per game, truly a remarkable feat for such a young player.

During the season, she broke a 35-year-old record by scoring 51 points against Withrow on January 7, 2026, setting the Western Hills single-game program record. Also, during her freshman year, she had several games with 40+, 50+, and 60+ points.

She is considered a "certified bucket" in addition to being a two-way nightmare for her defensive skills.

Cincinnati Princeton has long been known as a powerhouse in girls' basketball, producing talent such as Tammy Svoboda, Kesley and Chelsea Mitchell, Sole Williams, and the current head coach herself, Dee Davis, among others.

Under Coach Deonna Davis, often known as "Coach Dee," Princeton has long possessed elite talent. Since coming to Princeton in 2021, she has placed as the state runner-up in 2025 and 2026 and won an OHSAA Division I state championship in 2023.

With returning athletes like sophomore wonder Erin Thomas (19.7), Kamryn Lowe (9.7), and Najah Love (8.8) on the squad for the 2026-2027 academic school year, Parrish will be in good company.

"Friends come and go, but banners hang forever," elaborated Parrish.

Princeton has three OHSAA state championships: 1987 (Tammy Svoboda), 2014 (Kelsey Mitchell), and 2023 (Sole Williams).
