AKRON, Ohio — The Northeast Ohio girls' high school flag football inaugural sanctioned regular season has come to an end, and the playoffs are officially here.
The games will take place at Akron InfoCision Stadium on May 11, with the tournament starting at 5:00 p.m., presented by Gatorade.
This year, the champion and the three runners-up will automatically qualify for the state championship, which will take place at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium on Saturday, May 16.
Those four teams will play against the four qualifying teams from the Cincinnati Bengals region.
The Badin Rams from the Cincinnati area were the state champions last year, and the championship took place at Massillon Paul Brown Tiger Stadium, even though it wasn't officially recognized by the Ohio High School Athletic Association.
