Peterson played just one season with the Jayhawks, averaging 20.2 points per game, along with 1.6 assists and a free-throw shooting percentage of .82 over the course of 24 games, according to sportsreference.com.

Most analysts and media outlets have him projected as a top-three pick in the upcoming draft despite concerns surrounding injuries and narratives.

He started his high school career at Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy (CVCA) in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, for his freshman and sophomore years before transferring to Huntington Prep (W. Va) and later Prolific Prep in California.

During his first years in high school, he averaged 26.1 points as a freshman and 31 points as a sophomore.
