CANTON, Ohio - The yearly matchup between two historically black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) returns for yet another thrilling and entertaining event over Labor Day weekend. This year, Virginia Union will face Miles University on Sunday, August 31, at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium.

This matchup features the defending champions of their respective conferences: Virginia Union represents the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (CIAA), while Miles University is a member of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC). This marks the inaugural occasion in the history of the Black College Football Hall of Fame Classic, where the game showcases the reigning conference champions from both the CIAA and SIAC, emphasizing the prominence of these two HBCU institutions.

"We are grateful to the commissioners and teams of the CIAA and SIAC for their commitment to playing in the Black College Football Hall of Fame Classic game," said Jim Porter, president & CEO of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
