East Canton's John "Spider" Miller named CO-Coach of the Year in IVC

EAST CANTON, Ohio - Football postseason honors start to pour in for achievements earned during the regular season. Long-time coach John Miller, known as "Spider," was honored as Co-Coach of the Year in the IVC.

Miller has been with East Canton since his hiring in 2016, taking over from former head coach Tyler Sloas, and he will share this distinction with Dirk Gadd of Newcomerstown. 

During this season, he has his Hornets record at 9-2 as they head into a regional quarterfinal game against Fairport this Friday, following their victory over Lisbon in the first round. 

He had prior head coaching experience at Canton McKinley and Massillon Perry, and has also served as an assistant coach at Massillon, with a career that extends over three decades.
