Lutheran West makes history with first female football player

ROCKY RIVER, Ohio -- This year, the Lutheran West varsity football team will welcome a new member. Addyson Esposito is set to join the Longhorns this season, making history as the first female varsity football player in the program's history.

Esposito is an athlete who participates in multiple sports, including soccer, basketball, and flag football. She is in the class of 2028 and will be the kicker.

Lutheran West opens up the 2026 football season on the road against Elyria Catholic on Friday, August 21.
