CANTON, Ohio - Scheduled for July 17-20, the NFL Flag Championships will take place for the second consecutive year at ForeverLawn Sports Complex and Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium, presented by Toyota.

This Thursday, the OHSAA will be present and will take part in a press conference at 3:15 p.m. alongside representatives from the NFL, Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati Bengals, and the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Before the press conference, a flag football skills showcase is scheduled for 1 p.m. This event will highlight the two-state flag football finalist teams, Willoughby South and the champion Badin Rams, along with other student athletes.

The OHSAA supports flag football; however, it has not sanctioned the sport, which currently includes approximately 80 teams across the state of Ohio. This marks a significant increase from three years ago, when only 20 teams were participating in the sport.

"We have seen the growth of girls' flag football in Ohio and across the country over the last several years and are excited that so many young ladies have taken up this sport," said Doug Ute, OHSAA Executive Director.

ESPN, Disney, and the NFL will provide coverage that extends over 33 hours from Friday to Sunday.

ESPN will air 15 games from the girls' high school division, including the national championship game on Sunday.
